It can be really tricky to filter claps from kick/clap samples. The problem usually occurs when some of the frequency range that the clap exists in is also the same as the top end of the kick, so when using a high pass filter to trim off the top end sound to remove the clap you could very well trim off some of the defining frequencies of the kick that gives it it’s punch in the mix. To be honest I find it a lot quicker to try and find a similar sound in another track or a sample pack than trying (usually in vain) to filter something like that effectively.
