You can get your tracks sounding really good with these through headphones but seriously lacks the stereo width you would need when producing with real monitors.

Buy once cry once. A lot of “pros” use those to mix and monitor. I have the audio technica M50s and they’re the best cans for around 100-150.
KRK headphones are very well made. I have some KNS 8400’s, nbsp;£129 they were and never let me down. /PPI have fussy neighbours too so can only use my monitors during the weekend or early evening in the week. The KNS 8400’s do the job very well, there is hardly any difference to my monitors
+1 krk’s 8400 got them fae Santa and love them, comfort and sound quality!br

I’m very happy with my Sennheiser HD 280 , great damping of surrounding noise (I think about -32 dB) and I think they’re quite comfortable.nbsp; Butnbsp;my preferencenbsp;might be because I’m a Sennheiser-fan from back in the days when the animals could still speak…PAnyway, no matter what headphones you end up buying, don’t forget to take a look at the impedance (try and keep it in the same range of that of your audio-interface headphones output, or you might end up with a quiet signal with the dials full opened.)nbsp;
Im also a Senheiser fan… i have HD280 Pros and Hd600sbr

The 600s i could mix on almost right down to final mastering.br
br
the 280s i can get a vibe going but generally the bass is way off compared to my speakers.
my xone xd-53 right headphone speaker has blown so i’ve ordered some sennheiser hd600’s to try out. i figure they are what i’m looking for since they’re flat and recommended by master phil…will let you know how i go!
holy moses can’t i believe i have been mixing on dj headphones (allen heath xone xd-53) over the past year. my sennheiser hd600 headphones arrived today and they are totally amazing.br

my one-year old sleeps in the room next to my studio so the head phones were a must for me since nights are when i have time to mix.br

fyi these are open back headphones (not meant for mic recording situations).
I have AKG K702’s and KRK Rokit 8’s. They’re both great for what I need em for, I actually do most of the work with the headphones (great for placing sounds) and then use the krks just to dip into every now and again. Also I use some cheap as chips skull candy ear buds to help me mix aha, I find if it sounds good on them, it sounds good on anything…
