Well I didn’t get excited about the Kore 2 Player or the Kontakt Player. But Reaktor player
I’ve always wanted Reaktor, but I could never justify paying so much for it as I doubt I would use all its features. So a free cut down version sounds prefect
Bring on september 1st!

Edit: Just realised I’ve posted this in the wrong forum, but for some reason I can’t delete this, apparently I need to be logged on to delete posts
Yeah… Reaktor is a bit overwhelming as just a humble average user. I’ve got it, but have never made a synth or anything in it.
But you can get some utterly mental sounds out of it. Its got a real sonic identity (that sounds really wnaky…) . No matter what the synth or fx is that it is currently being, you can spot people using it a mile off (usually…). The NI Pad sound with delays is easy to ID. A lot of the Grain-y stuff is very Reaktor.
Carbon is cool.
Newscool is incredible, but its so mental I’ve never actually been able to use anything from it.
Hope they have the preset morph / variation / randomisation feature in the player as its cool automating between sounds.
Great inspiration though. Cant wait to get that myself!

Yeah thats why I’ve never bought it. I looks like it has the potential to be the best soft synth, but I think you need to commit a lot of time to it to get the best results. So a cut down version with a load of presets for free is prefect for me!
Just seen that also on Sep 1st, NI are releasing Komplete Player. So thats Reakor 5 Player, Guitar Rig 4 player, Kore 2 Player, Kontact 4 player and a couple of smaple libraries for free!

Gotta hand it to NI, thats a pretty good deal
