So i used them all : Protools , Cubase, Live, S1, on mac, and they all faint against Reaper.br
br
Reaper is just such an amazing DAW but highly underestimated and feared by alot of people i think.br
br
I dug into Reaper for about 2 months now i can really state that this is the DAW’s of the DAW’s.br
br
It’s just amazing: incredible customisation and so light on CPU.br
But why no Reaper tuts on SA ??!!br
br
Beats me.br
Reaper should be number 1 DAW of the World.br
My guess is people are too lazy and too scared to try it and experience it.br
Believe me, Reaper will change your life forever.br
br
br
br
You think people are too scared to try an essentially free daw?br

Haha, I hear Reaper is great actually. But the guy who made it is just rich and sick of Pro Tools. It was the guy who ended up selling…winamp? I think it was. Cant remember his name right now. There just isn’t a lot of marketing for it because it was never really a serious project. He’s just a crazy tech savvy dude who wanted to make something cheaper that could compete with Pro Tools in the studio setting and it ended up working better than (I’m assuming) he expected. Totally paraphrasing that story but thats the jist of it. br

If I wanted to put time into learning a different DAW it’d probably be reaper. No point though, waste of time I could spend on other stuff. Just stick with a DAW imo.br
