Ok this is a good example how a label can ruin your Producer Career.
well get to produce 3 tracks that this label wanted to release as a EP .
i signed contract proper business blabla.
now i already send the masters files of track back like 4 months ago .
they havent released yet , every time i asked the status they were like we are bussy at the moment we dont know the date of the release and so on .
So i just called them now and they said that they lost the master file of the track , and also they said that they have to reevaluate the songs . seems that 2 songs will make out for the LP while the other track will be in idle .
i was like wtf ? i signed the contract for 3 tracks now you tell me that the track that you guys dont want it it will be on the limbo unreleased?
come on!!!
btw that track that will be in hold was asked to be released by other labels . and unfortunately i cant do **** . because this asholes decided to just keep it with out releasing it .
and after the whole altercation they said this >
What is the status of the new material? Once again****** Records must get the best tracks.
I was like " i never signed exclusively with you and i already released 4 tracks this month so what makes you think that i should keep doing sending you tracks that you wont release it ?" . so yeahh
probably they will not release my EP and i got screwed.
*** em
watch it kids , Do research to see how many releases a labels have before sign in on them
many people might want to take advantage of you so watch it :hehe:
Sh**************T, not good man!
Ya bro ! sucks big time because all work for nothing pretty much but ohh well a good experience earned with this idiots.
Miserable.
What about leaking the track/s yourself?

+1
Better out there earning nothing but being enjoyed by people around the world than locked up somewhere still earning you nothing and being enjoyed by no one.
that is not a bad Idea i might do that
One tip i can give for producers that aré starting to get their tracks signed Is to be patient and dont bote on the first offer you get. Alot of producers aré so thrilled to get interest from a label and get something signed that they just take the first offer and blindley sign contracts. I nearly made the mistake of a lifetime by signing of my first track to a small indy label… A week later i got an email from marco v and the guys from be yourself music. I thanked my lucky stars that i didnt sign anything. Also if a label says you need to release your NeXT 3 tracks with them or whatever there Is something you can do. Send them the tracks say your giving them first listen but say you want to hear back from them about the track/s within x days. If they dont respond you aré free to sign it with whomever you want.
which label mate ?
