I got a noob-problem. when I try to record in Ableton live, the new wav starts to loop after 4 beats before the recording is done. What do I do wrong?

Are you creating a clip before you start recording? Thus will make the recording a fixed lenth.
If you just hit the record button on the track it should just record indefinatly.
Other possibility is you have loop enabled in arrange mode.
Got it… it was because I doubble-click, it turned to a loop version instead of record the sound all the way… lol
