Hey all
Have had a look at the resampling tuts here and else where. The thing is I dont want to pre set the midi data b4 recording. I want to be able to load up vst, jam on the controller and record the output.
Thought it would be similar to the resample tut but so far Im having no joy.
Cant see where Im going wrong.
cheers
J
Are you on Live?
You route the output of the Midi VST channel to an Audio track. Where you select the Resampling option - you can also choose the input from eg: MIDI 2 Albino
Hit IN on your Synth Track & record in your preferred way.
I did that last night & it worked. I was resampling a chord/stab thing that I had made. I then chopped up the recorded audio from the Clip & then dragged it into a simpler.
If you are on Logic… Create an Audio Track. Route the Output from your Synth Channel to Audio 1. Cant remember if I hit I+R… But thats it… Just record.
Thanks for getting back dude:)
still no joy.
Im in Live.
The vst rack(?) has the ‘audio to’ set to the audio track
The audio rack ive tried monitor>auto and ‘audio from’>resampling
also tried ‘audio rack’ monitor>in and ‘audio from’>vst
then record and nothing.
The midi controller is working I can play what i want and hear it fine when not routed to another output.
It must be easier than this, Im surely missing something
got it!!
for anyone interested you have to both arm the vst and arm the session record with a bit of command clickage
:D:D:D:D:D:D
lets record some fx
Cool Mate. Sounds like you got it
