Whats the best way to record vocals in ableton 8?..Do i make a mono track and f so how do i go about doing that?

i have a regular mic into an audio interface

if you have a mono mic than record into ableton through a audio track, then use a utility plugin on the audio track, phaze it to the right or left, then bounce that track into another audio track while recording
