Reese Bass

Hi !

Iwould like to know , how to make areese bass with Sylenth1…

Thanks

the simple way is to use one thats already in the sylenth soundbank and adjust it to your taste.

There are two in bank 1 page 2 called Reese Bass 1 & Reese Bass 2, patches 214 & 215.

For me it’s all about Saw waves, you need a synth with at least two oscillators, select both as saw waves for the time being, make sure you’re using the max number of voices on each oscillator, so your signal is nice and chunky, then make sure your sustain value is set to almost 100%, detune both oscillators for that fat reese sound, then it’s just a case of running it through a low-pass filter and bob’s your uncle. I also find it useful using multiple tracks for the bass, say three subtly different patches layered on top of one another. That way you have a big sound that you can automate to evolve in all sorts of ways.

i don’t and never have made drum&bass to if i’ve got it completely wrong please let me know.

i kinda started to make a patch and thought this would be of some use, its not finished yet but let me know if i’m on the right path

i did this track and experimented some reese bass on it . but i actually Filtered more to make it sound kind of suby. i used 2 Saw oscillators detuned 75% and a long transient.then layered down with a sub. i dont know if that is what you looking . but this is the example ina full track
