If i wanna remix a track with vocal, Can i separate the beat från the song. Or do i have to find the Acapella version?
U want a studio acapella. Also the midi from the track

not the only way. it depends on what you want to do w/ the remix. If you want a **** mp3 quality vocal, then extract it from a track. If you want the professional quality wav file vocal, then get the studio acapella. If you can’t find the midi online, you can get the midi by using melodyne and running an audio stem thru it.
I once entered a remix competition from Riva Starr. The only part he offered was a snippet of a few seconds he used himself. For the track Splendidub.
What I want to make clear is that you can make remixes of a track with all necessary stems and the midi, but also with only a short sample of the original.
It’s all about how creative you are or can get
