I would love to see a tutorial on how to make Progressive House like Shingo Nakamura. His signature sound usually has lush pads, interesting chord progressions, good arrangements, with breakdowns, pleasant leads with synths, and almost always a visit to a soft grand piano. I would not consider the genre piano house however. As he is based in Japan you can hear the use of fifths a lot. His sounds are always unique and not just a couple detuned saws with a filter. There is always lots of contrast between loudest and softest parts of his music for a large dynamic range adding to the interestingness and tolerability of the journey he takes you on - never fatiguing. His recent US tour had all sold out shows last year according to him on a post on YouTube. Some of his Best Of videos get millions of views. He has 19.4k Subsribers. He even did a remix of an artist you had on Sonic Academy named SoundPrank who produced “Burner” which Shingo Nakamura did a remix of. If you were to get him I would also be interested in a short blurb about how to deal with how to go about obtaining permission to make remixes from artists not in your home country as it is notoriously difficult to obtain licensing to do so. Shingo is in Japan and SoundPrank is in Canada. How did Shingo do that? He may be too busy to find the time to create a turorial - who knows but it sure would be great to see how he works. What DAW does he use. He started out (15 years ago) by using FL Studio but I wonder what he is using now? What is his favorite synth/VST? How does he come up with ideas? Chords first, sounds first, drums first, or melody first? How does he make all the blips and blops that are signature to his drum loops? Does he create sounds, record sounds, use found sounds, or search from sample packs?
