Revolverb doesnt work on my system, any alternatives

Guys i have been trying to create clap sounds like that in Phils trance tutorial. i have looked at the system requirements for revolverb and unfortunatly for me having an AMD processor it is not supported.  gutted.

Does anyone know of any other reverb plugins i can use in ableton. The reverbs in ableton itself really dont cut it for me

Thanks in advance

doesnt work for me either

crashes every time i load an impulse response

sir2 is a good one

Thanks for that tip Paul.

Thing is with the Revolverb is that its only a BETA version so there could be bugs with it.

Are you cracking on with a trance track fella ???

yeh cant wait for the next installment

ive always wanted to remix y-trax mystery land, so i’m going to incorparate that into the tutorial rather then use phils chords etc

That is a amazing song. how far into it are you?  The problem i have is that im making my track which i have a really good melody and chords but my baseline is a bit weak so im waiting in anticipation for phils baseline tutorial lol

Good luck with ya track. if you get it done post it on the user tracks fella. obviously i cant talk cos i havent got any track there either but ya know what i mean.

theres also this http://audio.lernvall.com/ for a mac version.

Hey music friend, where can you get this Sir2 thing then?

Is it as easy to use as Revolverb is used for creating these claps?

Itching for it to make the claps!!!

Products | SIR Audio Tools

thtas the site…

it works in much the same way…

you can really use any reverb for the claps.

even the internal one in abletons fine.

Convolution reverbs tend to have slightly smoother tails to them tho.

Can you please give a little explaination into how to use the internal reverb in Ableton to create that clap sounds from the Trance Tutorial bite size:D

I need help again,

Why can’t things be simpler, there’s always something to annoy,

I’ve tried that link for sir2, and it’s some stupid demo with a bell ring every ten seconds or so, it’s way more complicated to look at compared to that revolverb thing.

It’s crashed my project, and left a ringing sound on my speakers that sounds like a engine ticking over, MEGA annoyed, as this is the alternative to revolverb as i have AMD processor.

I won’t buy something that messes my pc up. so what is a free alternative???

And where’s best to get the free impulses???

wow there are problems here today, every time i try to edit one of my posts i get sent back to the homepage so can’t edit.(hence sorry for so many posts, i’d roll it into one if i could edit)

further to my previous post my whole project is not broke, i’ve restarted my pc and now my FM8 chords have this horrible crackling sound overlapping them (sounds like a old vinyl playing)

i’ve spent over 5 hours yesterday getting them sounding like they do.

i think it’s my pc, it absolute s*it!!!

it did this on my other project and i deleted it, i do not want to delete this as it’s really good for my standard.

PLEASE somebody who knows advise me, do i need a new processor, or what, i hate this feeling of not knowing how to help myself.

one problem after another AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

whats your processor load sitting at?

i recently stuck an intel e8400 3gz in my PC

had a pentium d 3ghz in before.

on projects with 60-70% of procesor load now sit at 13-15% mental.

for the £140 you get to use 10x the amount of plugins… good value in my book!

PHIL DID YOU HAVE TO CHECK IF THAT WAS COMPATIBLE WITH YOU OTHER COMPONENTS ETC OR CAN YOU JUST GET THAT PUT IT IN YA MOTHERBOARD AND ROBERTS YOU FATHERS BROTHER?

you have to check if your motherboard will take it…

i opened my cpu up and looked at the make then googled it…

the intel chip is socket 775 if your MB is the same you should be good to go.

The processor load is between 15-20% nothing at all.

I have messed about with my sound card setup and there was a handy option to stop digital distortion or something like that.

And since it has not done it.

I now think it could be something to do with the vst’s, my Absynth crashed when i triggered the “note hold” or “sustain” at the bottom left corner, it would not stop even though i pressed the button again to turn it off.

The main question still remains!, what alternatives is there to Revolverb because my processor is still AMD and will not work!
