Hey everyone… I was reading something on Music Radar and they were talking about using the pitch correction tool in Logic. I have Logic 8 Express and I was wondering (I’m at work and not at home to try myself) if I could rewire Logic into Ableton Live 8 for the pitch correction plugin or anything else. If it is possible, how do you do it?
While we are on the topic, would there really be any reason to do this at all? Is there anything that is in Logic that is exceptional that it would be worth my while to rewire (if it can be done)?
the only things in logic that are worth having over ableton are the effects, not sure if you get space designer or delay designer with the express version, but there are also the synths in logic.
i have logic pro 8 and still think its the best daw for midi around but there are better options around for working with audio.
when it comes to rewire i think ableton has to go slave to logic, not sure if you are able to work it the other way round
although i have spoken to some logic 9 users and they say the new audio improvements are really great for working with audio tracks
jons right, logic must be the master.
Rewire is a total waste of time in my eyes regarding logic/abeton because the protocol does not support vst/au, so 3rd party plugins in ableton are automatically disabled when you rewire both DAWS. Its ok when using abletons effects/instruments but lets be honest there not exactly the best. I really wish propellerheads would update rewire but I know they never will.
