No !!!i totally Understand man , but because i don’t own an advanced Drum sampler like Ableton I wanted to give a try . to see if this might fit what i was looking for in a sampler . . you can steal kicks layerd down snares and the whole deal of complicated processing . to make your drums sounds big . in the process the sample always loose quality. layering down and pitching it to the right key just takes and awful time for me . .
This Drum Synth is a easy to use and also easy to tune in . no need to spend time looking for the right kick while u can build your own from scratch in minutes.or browse from the nice presets.
not to mention the Sampler option has an amazing time strength algorithm .do not have artifacts when u stretch more than 24 semitones wich is just awesome.
also this have an amazing sequencer easy to use and come up with quick ideas. Groove Presets, and so many options .
. i can still work straight without a sampler but i like how i saved long hours of processing by just creating my own kicks.
I love the quality of the sounds that this monster creates .
Aline - Can you drag patterns from the sequencer into the arrange?
Yes !!drag and drop !! got tons of Groove Presets and not to mention u can just tweak em till u cant no more.
***ing pricey do . almost 150 bucks? better get a sucky sucky for that price. hehee
Drag & Drop. Brilliant. Drum synths w/o D&D are wank

+1
did anyone else tried this Drum Synth?
Whenever I have a specific sound in mind, I hate auditioning samples presets with a burning passion. Something about just clicking through all that **** makes me wanna beat someone down. So I just bought punch last night because I was super impressed with how quickly you can get a nice punchy, ideal sound and the drum models don’t steer you towards something wacky sounding (i.e. microtonic!). I also got microtonic which was a total waste of money given my purposes. It has some clever features but the sound design is too open ended for me to get something i want without spending a lot of time tweaking parameters. i wanted a drum synth because i wanted more control over my drum sounds but also to focus the synthesis down to something that will get results for a certain type of drum fast. punch’s distinct drum models do this really well IMO. my only complaint is that there is only an FX bus and they should’ve included the ability to put individual FX on each drum in addition to the bus. i’ll probably just end up having to run more instances which is annoying (CPU) but at the end of the day this whole affair is more about getting the sound i want quickly. i don’t really care about the sequencer cause i like to do that stuff in the host (ableton) anyways.
