Rob Papen

Which to get? I’ve fancied Albino for some time, but now there’s Blue and Predator. Any of you 'orrible lot using any of these?

I personally dont care for the Rob Papen stuff. The user interfaces are super confusing, and IMO, they dont sound “amazing”. There is alot better choices out there. Check out DCAM by FXPansion for something that sounds “amazing”. And you get 3 synths in the package.

Speaking of Rob Papen, did that Synthesis DVD ever materialise?? I remember 2 years ago it was ‘coming soon’.

its been coming since 2004, apparently due out this year lol and we bitch if Sonic are a week out

I use the SubBoomBass which does everything that it says on the tin - but like others here was not really taken with the others, too confusing more glitz than guts imo

[url=http://www.acesynth.com/]404 Page Not Found | u-he been playing with this for a while… very “analogue” sound to it and mad flexibility… not really for the noob tho

i like blue. i learnt synthesis with it, so ill always be fond of it. i found it quite an easy synth to use.

out of all of the RP synths Blue still holds its head high, i think there are much better synths for the money imo.

i like the one that phil mentioned although i would say that on the demo version (mac and pc) i got random cpu spikes. however its still worth a look for $70

that video with a the lego’s is trippy

DCam and Sub Boom Bass are on the shopping list already, I like the look of that U-he Ace synth. Tried a demo of Uhe Zebra over the weekend. I felt a bit retarded; there are just too many options. That looks less fiddly.

predator is good. ive used it for a couple bass lines.
