Ugh damn :frowning:

sorry to hear the bad news man

Ugh, that really sucks dude. Just know, while yeah it sucks that you might loose a few bucks, stuff can always be replaced and while it sucks that you lost some of your work, what really matters is the skills you have obtained from doing all of that work.

Really sorry to hear that mate, happened to me where my decks, mixers, JD800 and Atari (yep along time ago), with some other non music tec stuff was robbed while we were on holiday.

Its so annoying

Thats a right fcuker fella.

I remember a few years back one of mates had all his DJ stuff nicked with aload of my vinyl I had left at his, we got lucky thought as found out who it was and went around there house with a transit van full of people and put the 4 cunts in hospital, safe to say now that no fooker around here will go anywhere near our things now!

Hey man, yeah the same shiz happened to me too. They broke into my house at about 10:30 in the morning and took just about everything. APC40, Macbook, 10 day old iMac, XBox and all my games. All that sucks, but the worst is the bastards took jewelry that was given to my wife from my and her father (that passed away). All in all, it was a shade over $12,000 worth of stuff that was taken.

We had home owners insurance and they only ended up giving us $8,000 or so. Since then, we have gotten an alarm just in case. I really have to get some suplimental insurance just in case. I know its hard man. The worst part is that you feel violated and almost not safe in your own home.

Im sorry for your loss dude and I wish you nothing but the best.

Damn you lost alto too :frowning: Sorry

yeah man i have worked hard for my stuff i jsut turned 18 and it took me 2 years to obtained all about 17,000 dollars lost :frowning: We just called the insurance and they said they can return 7,000  So i guess i cna use it to regain some stuff :frowning:

Insurance companies just seem to be as bigger theives as the ones that break into your home - only they get away with it

Dont settle. Try to get more out of them.

7000 for stuff that cost around 17000 ? What a shame ! Insurance companies really pisses me off. Oh well, let’s think positive… it’s still better than nothing, heh ?

I feel really sorry for you, mate…

Dude, that is some straight bull****. You need to go back at them and fight. you can at least get another $3000 out of them. It won’t hurt to try would it?

****, I would cry on the phone. I would make them feel like absolute dog crap.

i got another 2000 from them but hats all they can do :frowning:

Sorry to hear about your theft and the insurance company outcome :frowning:

My daughter dropped my macbook a few weeks a go and even though we are covered for accidental damage the insurance company are being really difficult about giving us any money.

I had to go and get a new macbook pro as I needed something to use, could have done without dropping the cash on that.

Anyone got experience of specialist ‘extra’ insurance companies to protect our gear in the UK?

got no experience with specialists but when i dropped the wifes laptop we got 100% of the money, infact we got more than what we paid for it. they gave us the full price of what they cost new when they first came out (we had bought ours in the jan sale) so we ended up with £1598 for a laptop that we actually only paid £799.

that was with dirrect line but we have been with them for years, they have told me before that none of my vinyl, decks or dj gear is covered though. the girl on the phone told me at the time that your policy will change from area to area depending on what the high crime rates relate to. i live on a housing estate where dj equipment goes missing on a daily basis so they don’t cover it for my area lol seems to me that you can be easily covered against the crimes that are less likely to happen but the ones you want to be covered against you’re gonna get stung for

i’ve always found the best insurance against crooks is to know them all it’s better to have them on your side than against you… as they old saying goes, keep your friends close and your enemies closer
