Hope you are all well. Just thought I might draw your collective attention to this rather talented individual (in my humble opinion). Very chilled, clean sounds throughout. I’ve been listening to this for the last three or four months now, and its one of those albums that only gets more interesting the more you listen. Anyone else heard this? What do you think?
I have to say I’m really liking his overall sound. Can anyone recommend anything else in a similar vein? On one level he reminds me a little of Orbital, but only in a very subtle way…
how about just “the orb” dr robert patterson is a sick sound sculpter. i’m not sure what album it is, but my friend and i realized one day before it was public notice, that if you listen closely throught the background, when he finished the album( it was like an hour or so long), he recorded he and another friend playing a game of billiards over the top of it. its so subtle though that you think its part of the songs, but in reality if you listen closely you can hear the balls cracking and dropping in the pockets. as well as faint whispers, which was the conversation at hand. they literally recorded a game of billiards during the listening session! and then layered it on top just for the hell of it. now thats deep geniousness. kinda like what your listening to now…

Nice - sounds right up my alley! So this is an album he recorded after The Orb? If you could root out the album title I’d be much obliged. They were light years ahead of their time - I still listen to Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld on a regular basis, and it remains as fresh sounding today as it ever has.
No it was an album as The Orb, I’m waiting on reply from my mate to get you the answer. I want to say that it was one of the earlier ones as I remember listening to this in the mid 90’s…

It was the album UFOrb. We’re now in a debate though whether it is the full album or just the song OOBE. Have a listen and tell me what you think! Enjoy!
