when dropping in a sample to your production, do you use a sampler and play the sound or just and audio track ?

I use both - unless its a one shot then I tend to use simpler/sampler
sweet man. I’m tryin to figure out fast work flow. i always here dope samples being manipulated so i’m guessing it comes from an audio track but you don’t really know i just learned that simpler loads samples -12 db
if i’m dealing with loops like you do i usually slice them up in a drum rack but if it’s for a one shot , then sampler it is or simpler depending what i need it for
