Anyone got this as PC vst?

yeah i do

I picke it up as well.

I really like it.

Nice and simple, which an idiot like me needs.

If i wasn’t saving my pennies for my america trip in 2 weeks i’d defo buy this, damn!!

I have it… but havent really used it yet.

If anyone has it on Windows vst and would be so kind as to swing it my way i’d be most grateful

I bought it, some money was burning a hole in my pocket…

Flaxo’s little review:

It sounds great on kick drums that I’m too lazy to properly chain through limiters, etc. 808s and kicks that just lack that -oomph- really shine on the fattener. The thing is, the knobs pretty much can only go to about 20-30% without distorting. Kick drums on full “fatness” sound awful.

On bass, it actually worsened the sound, at least for mine. The problem is, since Dada Life won’t clearly explain what it is, knowing where to put it in your fx chain is a challenge. I put it in this sequence: Multiband Dist-Bitcrusher-EQ-Compressor-Limiter-Fattener. Since it was a pretty soft limiter, I figured the fattener would just brickwall it. It just made it sound cheap and distorted, not the always desired “fat”.

On the master track it actually did a nice little tape saturation job. I pushed the “color” knob up just a bit and left the “fatness” at 0. Made the sound a bit fuller and warmer.

Overall, for 29 bucks, I thought it was pretty OK. I’ll definitely use it frequently, it’s a good plug-in for those who don’t understand specifically how to add weight to stuff.

hahaha i see what you did there :stuck_out_tongue:

Interesting review Flaxo, i’m asking myself if i’d actually need it really. Can think of some plug in’s that probably achieve the same result?

If you have a decent limiter and a decent tape saturation plug in, that should do the trick. Think of the sausage fattener as like the L3, Fisher Price edition. Beefs up the sound a lot, but without the level of control of the multimaximizer, it’s pretty hit or miss

Tbh you may not think it but im really really bad at putting weight on things and this really helped me out. I think this plugin is better because its so simple to use, you just have to be carefull and not overdo it.

But i highly reccomend it.

I was trying this plug in and i didnt really like the dynamics when you use this plug in.

i will stick to my 112 Red line Preamp. seems that i have more control with certain frequencies with this plug in than the SF

I do have to agree that it would be nice if it had a little more control, but I am writing a new song which has an electro bass in it that is similar in sound to Dada Life and it works great on that. I’m sure it was created by them based off of different setups and effects that they use in their studio to fatten up their own sound on a regular basis. They probably got tired of dialing up all the settings and decided to mix them together to create a preset out of it in order to save time. Then they realized that they could package it, slap a catchy name on it, and market it.  It will always be a hit or miss on your tracks because of its simplicity. I’ll probably always try it out on my basses moving forward, but I’m sure it will only be used sparringly.

Still, I think it is worth the money.

Got this earlier… does exactly what it says on the tin… love plugs that do a very specific job with one or 2 knobs.

I agree. i usually do work on Tech House and Deep House. and usually having an sonic enhancer that just do good for certain frequencies is good enough for me. in the other hand Electro Producer might benefit more with this plug in.

i was playing today with the 112 db Redline Preamp. and it actually works fine for embellishing some frequencies to come out of the mix. in the other hand the Sausage fattener is limited when u just want to work around exact frequencies.

There are sooooooooo many people that use the fruity sound goodizer becausr it does exactly what it says and in a very simple way it makes things sound Good. The sausage fattener is the same in a very easy way you can get things to sound FAT. Really great plugin and really cheap.

And it has a sausage that gets angrier the more you fatten it, what more could you want.

That reads so wrong, even in context!
