Score to MIDI Software?

Hey guys,

Anybody know of any software out there that can take notes found on a score in PDF format and convert them to a MIDI file?

I think this could be a fast way to get more remix projects off the ground for me.

Thanks!

No, there isn’t anything really out there, but if you can read music, then its really easy to put it in a piano roll of some sort.

Did I mention I was extremely lazy?

you didnt have to :stuck_out_tongue:

That wont work. It takes your song and prints it to score. He wants to take a pdf of a score that he has and transform it the other way around.

there was a part in cm mag month or maybe even a year back that showed the guys using a scanner to read old scores and the software read them and then was able to import them into the DAW

there is also this http://www.neuratron.com/photoscore.htm

Good one Jon. Thanks for scouring the web for that, I’ll have a look at it.

The closest I was able to find what I was looking for was SmartScore X Pro.

Looks complicated but I’ll investigate a little bit more on these two programs and see what people are saying about them.

Cheers!
