Separating Drums

Just been watching the trance tutorials which are the nuts but have a question.

On the separating drums video each impulse drum sample is separated into it’s own track - does anyone know why and what the benefit of this is?

i was under the impression that you can control each sample volume within impulse itself so what’s the need to separate them all?

So you have more over all control which helps when it comes to working all the levels at the end. Also by seperation you can add effects to that particular sound, rather than all the sounds at the same time.

ie: reverb to snare.

Also, in arrangement view, you can automate each instrument to come in or out, essentially muting a specific part of the impulse track.
