Can’t be f*cked to read all the comments, but basically what I know about this is if you have the speakers stood up, your ‘sweet spot’ is narrower widthways, but is bigger vertically.

If you have they on their side, your sweet spot is wider widthways but shorter vertically.

Bottom line. In your home studio or any for that matter, the tweeters on your monitors need to line up with your ears. Whether they are on their side or vertical is not important. Just make sure that the tweeters are ear height. I have mine set vertical in a triangle of 90 degrees with me at the axis and my computer monitor at 45 degrees if that makes sense. From my seat when I turn to look at each monitor I am looking at it face to face with the tweeter. The tweeter and my nose align when I look at it. Also you should be sitting far enough from your monitors that you can just touch them if you reach your arms out straight. It’s all about where your sitting.
