While im trying to mix down a new track my logic keeps cutting out certain parts of the tune.
Its not the whole track its just parts of the vocals suddenly stop or the bass etc
any ideas? i have 4gb ram but it still seems to be overloading cpu
all tracks are bounced down to wavs aswell
What could be happening is that when you have the Wav files, your computer is reading from them all even when there is silence. I know it sounds wierd, but if you do the math, its spot on. Try this. Go in and remove any silence after and before the waves start. This way, you arent effecting the audio at all. See if that works out. Your disk might be too slow to read all those wav files at the same time. Even faster hard drives have a limit.
Thanx hun ill try that tomorrow
i guess it must just be the fact it can’t cope
ableton is the same it doesnt miss bits but it crackles really bad and tops out at 135% cpu haha

Make sure your’re at 1028 on the samples too. That will help.
