Hello,br
br
I have been listening to a lot of Solarstone as reference to the kind of music I want to make. Lately, his basslines have been something that keeps eluding me as far as construction. br
br
From what I hear, it sounds like a simple rolling saw bass line, not a lot of variation or layering with different midi patterns. Although I can be wrong in this, also, I can’t tell if he uses a sub or not as I don’t hear the traditional offbeat sub anywhere. br
br
This of course, is all from a novice’s ear. So any one with a skilled knack for deciphering sounds is greatly appreciated. Here is one of the songs I have been using as reference: br

Hey so I took a listen, and I think I am hearing exactly what you talked about. Sounds like a saw bass on the 16ths, but then I think I hear a solid subbass line thats sidechained with the kick thats underneath the 16th saw bass. This is from the drop at 6:28. The subbass sounds like its pretty solid throughout, not really hearing much rhythmic emphasis aside from the sidechain with the kick.
