Stick a reverb on the synth or chord channel. With a longish tail. Play a single chord or synth note on that channel and record / bounce the output to a separate audio channel. Then remove the reverb you’d added to the synth channel. br

Reverse the bounced audio so it’s now going from the tail of the reverb to the point where it triggered. Use volume automation, or similar, to have it raise and stop at the right times / right length.
