hey.
I recently purchased a macbook pro and I need to buy a soundcard to record my mixes. However, i don’t know what to look for, just wondering what you guys use?
Any help would be great!

if you’re going from Analog Mixer To Mac you’ll want something with Good A/D converters.
although to be fair if all its going to be used for is dj mixes then any soundcard will do so long as it supports at least 16 bit
I use NI’s Audio 4 DJ and really like it, although mine has loose connections for the monitors 
Whats your budget? I have a Motu Ultralite MK3. Its a bit pricey, but it is extremely versatile and it sounds amazing. It leaves me room for expansion in the future for hardware synths, I can DJ with it too.

Yeah, for sure man. Remember, don’t screw yourself. For a touch extra, with that much money you could get something more toward the higher end (without going overboard). If you spend a touch more, you could get something that wont limit you for years. This way, you can run external synths if you want, you could dj, even run a small band if you had enough imputs. Plus, MOTU has great analog to digital converters, so they sound amazing. 
read loads of review, its not always how much money you spend and also think of second hand options (why buy a new Ford when you can get an old Ferrari for the same price) Stay away from almost all M-audio cards if you are recording from analog to digital as their AD converters are sh$t and you’ll end up with a noisy recording.
if you are only recording using traktor and never leaving the box it won’t matter a $h!t what sound card you use as the signal doesn’t need to pass through the converters

Bad analogy dude… I can’t wait to hear what your wife would say if you traded in your family car for a late model two seat Ferrari. I can hear it now… “honey…the kids fit perfectly in the trunk!!!”
