is there not some sort of volume control on the mixer?

or some sort of software mixer that is installed alongside that you can adjust the levels of

It sounds more like it’s to do with the settings on your computer, are you Mac or PC (MS version?)?

i use a pc yes there are some volume control mixers when opening control panel for the soundcard options buffer size etc . but all the faders are fully up and i get only a -10 db output

some times on and input there is a ‘pad’ button which attenuates the sound by like 20dB (think its for when you have a sound going through multiple preamps) check on the setting or on the box that this isnt selected

in the cotrol panel for the sound card? what does this exactly mean? -10dBV input / output level (unbalanced)

Have you made sure that your PC’s output / input sound card is selected as your MayA44 and that it’s not still set as your PC’s internal soundcard?

The two may be conflicting perhaps?

It’s a shame i cant see your computer in front of me, would be able to easily sort it lol.

after a few searches on google, it seems its quite a common problem with that card.

re the mixer, can you make sure it is the actual maya44 mixer you are accessing and not windows default one?

When you install the card, there is an actual control panel specifically for the card. This would be located in the Maya44USB folder on the included disc. It is NOT the little speaker in your system tray. the default at install is apparently -6dB. Take it up to 0dB, and you will have all of the potential output that the card has.

other than that the only other solution i could find is to remove the drivers that came with it and let windows use its own drivers.

well the dBv is a measurent of voltage in decibles, on my interface a have a pad button on the actual box, but i dont see any reason why it couldnt be in the sofware tho, has it just started doin this or has it always been this way,

also see if there is a data sheet or manual that could shed some light

Ahhhh, gotta love da Google!

Electricity circuit all country without electricity for 3 hours now its back what a **** country      Thanks for the feedback yes it has been always the same low output. Yes Brian that control panel i have it opened you can set the buffer size and latency also has 4 sets of faders  and are to maximum. To roben yes i chose the external as default so disabled the laptop internal soundcard.what i wonder is that the decription for the maya soundcard says MAYA44 is a high quality 24-bit 96/192kHz 4-in / 4-out audio interface providing a number of powerful and amazing features optimized for home recording and for DJ applications.and the max output volume is of-7 db with all settings to max and internal soundcard of my laptop goes up to +3db so what remains is that soundcard is not that good i guess.maybe its worth it changing it what are your opinions on the audio 2 dj native instruments or the audio 4 dj i have read that they are powerful up to +9db anyone here has one ?? can say how is it if its fine dont want to buy another cheap sound card to hibernate it on my shelf again thanks agiain in advance for your time

This maybe a silly question but have you installed ASIO4 drivers - and then reconfigured all your applications. I have the same card and it works fine - maybe not as loud as I would like but adequate for my needs currently

i have got the audio 8 that i use for traktor, everythings works just fine with that, but you will probs want some balanced outputs if your using it for studio monitors

haha, yeah Google certainly is your flexable friend for all those times of trouble! He’s been there many a time for me in the past and i’m sure many a time in the future too

You PC people must have it rough. It must suck when your stuff just doesn’t work, huh?

when i was on pc i used the echo indigo DJ. and it was awesome.

still got it actually & looking rid of it
