One thing I notice these days is I get more plays than views which means that people are looking at my page and playing either one track or more - which is probably the whole idea - also noticed that since i hit 100o my following rate is increasing

Slender - How long have you been on Soundcloud? Just wondering how long it took you to hit 1000.

Just as a informal experiment, I did a bit of a random follow (I looked at the followers on Luke System’s Soundcloud page and followed about 300) and waited for the results.
In 2 hours:
20 plays, 20 new followers, 5 comments, 2 favorites.
Now, I was just as surprised as anyone else that people would randomly follow back. And I wholeheartedly agree that real followers are integral to success. But I have to say, I’m a bit tempted to use this cheeky model. 
ive thought about it as well… but im just so against the thought of doing it. cause i know im just kiddin myself… now if i signed an EP to a pretty big label…

had the soundcloud account for over a year but only had 300 followers in March
I get roughly 300 plays on a week i don’t release anything and 500 on a week i do - roughly 100 comments a week
TBH i am more concerned about plays than followers as I am not kidding myself that they are all fans
