Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to use the Ableton Spectrum Analyser (or any other plugz) to help with tuning samples, especially drums… ??

This kinda tool is to be looked at and observed on all busses. put a spectrum on all your sounds and see how they are different from each other.
by surrounding your self with spectrum analyzers enough you should start to figure how the are used.

I was more thinking about the frequency ranges \ EQ techniques for each sound and some kind of rules that can be applied with the help of the analyser…
Could also do with a bit of an explanation of some of the settings, and which are best suited for which task…(tuning vs analysis for example).
You could search the forum for this, cause I have some stuff that’s been posted before.

The FM Chart is pretty good for an overview, but really liked your doc too as it gave a bit more detail about compression\Q depth…
