Ok here is the deal, im searching for a VST or a Stand Alone Application of a Speech synthesizer , you know the one where you type in words and the computers pronounces them and stuff, it would be good if it has loads of effects and stuff, i tried the FL STUDIO built in one , but
a) It’s not that good
b) I have a bug with it so it doesnt want to start anymore and i dont want to reinstall FL for the same lame speech synthesizer.
Im sure Steven Hawkins could point you in the right direction!
lol
ATT have long since come up with “natural voices” which sound far more realistic and yet Stephen Hawkins is still using his old tech stuff. Quite bizarre when you think about it.
The only reason i can think that he hasn’t embraced the ATT stuff is he has made ‘that sound’ his voice, his own identity if you will and is reluctant to take on what would sound like a new persona.?
weird, very weird
SPEAK AND SPELL!!!
if you google “text to speach” youl’ll find what your looking for
osx has this built in but there are a few websites that do this too
krome and jon have answered your question, especially if youre trying to do the deadmau5 intro voice he uses(im just assuming because a lot seem to be concerned with sounding like other artists here.
OK i will google them, i don’t want to sound like deadmau5, it’s just that i used some robot vocals of that sort that arent mine , so the label doesnt want to publish my songs with does vocals
Ok i’ve searched and tried and found this one - “Alive Text to Speech” & Another one “text to speech” but they are very basic i need something more powerful, something that i can change the voice, the two programs use only one standart voice…I cant find it and im frustrated :@… :S
I’d go for 2nd speech center.
I tried that too, it’s better then the others but still not good
The one in Fruty Loops is better then all of them, but still i have to reisntall and **** and ****…
linky try this link…or maybe something else on this site is closer to what you want
Did some R&D into this last year for my work, and we ended up using a company called Loquendo (granted this is commercial level TTS though), just thought I’d mention it because we did come across a company whose main selling point was that they did the voice for Stephen Hawking.
Are you Mac or PC?
There’s several ways to do this.
1.- MAC OR PC… You can use Ableton 8’s built in Vocoder. I tried it last night. Basically, you record you voice into one track, and add your favorite synth into another track. Any synth works. Than, drop the Vocoder into the Voice Track, select EXTERNAL as your carrier, than on the AUDIO FROM drop down menu choose your synth track. Your voice will now sound like your synth. Hehehe
2.- MAC ONLY, you can use Text Edit to type out your message and then play it back. You can change the voice on the system preferences.
