Spot Fx

I’d love a series of videos on those little extras. I know they are covered in most the videos already at some point. But how about a series of videos solely on the subject of making Spot Fx and Risers, maybe using a few different synths and techniques! Anyone agree?

You read my mind… I was going to post something in here about that a couple of days ago… but never go around to it.

I’d like to see that definitely.

Maybe a Mini Series - with 5 different riser ideas… 5 Different spot fx - 5 Bass sounds - 5 stab variations… that sort of thing.

It would be interesting to see what variations could be used to keep it fresh.

Yeah cool idea

and if you want to do some cool little spot fx those are really easy to do… and no, im not gonna make a tutorial.

what you need to do is using sylenth, create a sound with any waveform (preferably one with alot of partials, like a sawtooth or square/pulse) and create a standard Attack/Decay envelope. That way you get a percussive type sound, or a short sweep up. They add reverb, delay, or some other sound modification like phase or distortion to taste, depending on what you are going after.

What other sound effects are you after? I can create some quick ones for you and send you a sylenth file to show you, but you have to tell me exactly what you are looking for.

Well - This is a really good riser & actually becomes one of the Tunes Hooks.

Occurs at around 1.19 onwards… Starts low & then up over the course.

Better Remix than the original if anyone knows it.

Me likes format B

Thats cool alright.

They’ve got a deadly tune - cant remember name of it now… but I’ll find it when I have time.

Just flicking through YT there - Interesting to hear that they use pretty much the same Kick / Snare.

Reimann Kollektion have a Format B sample pack. Some nice hits in it.

Definitely a reinforcer for making your own Kit.
