Swapping from session to arrangment view

Just a quick 1 pls. I;'m trying to swap all of what I have done from my session view to lay out on my arrangement page. I don’t want to tab and lay out each clip individually, I want to highlight all my clips then tab and??? Ive got so many over but my drum rack isnt swapping over erghhhhhh, cheers boys great videos by the way, could still may be do ith a highlighter around the cursor;) tanks again

You could just play all the clips you want to move over and hit record. they will start to record in to the arrange page… then just trim them as needed.

Ok thanks for the speedy reply mate. Ive just tried that and gave me the same result as high lighting all the channels pressing tab then dropping them in all in one on the arrangment page. The problem Ive got is Ive put my drum rack in and the drums are only playing as one bunch rather than a set of grouped channels with in a grouped channel in arrangement view. I have grouped all of my loops then when I put them in arrangment I can open them within the grouped channel, I cant with my drums if this makes sense ??? They are only comeing out as one sound rather than individuall sounds. I want to be able to introduce various drums as I go threw the track

if you are using drum racks you need to edit the midi blocks to control whats sounds are happening when or use the volume automation… there are no individual blocks for drum racks.

Ok mate thanks again, so there is no way I can just carry on laying out the blocks with in the group of drum rack on my arrangment page? Is there any other way or device I can use to doe this??? Or will I just have to lay the individual drums on there own channel in arragement view and not bother with the session view ?? br

My work flow is i use drum racks and control when the sounds come in by editing the midi part. I tend to use 3-4 drum racks per session… one for kicks, claps, snares one for percussion and one for Hi Hats etc and another for fills etc.br

You could in theory use simpler for each sound on individual tracks too.

that is very interesting. have you ever thought of showing a walkthrough of your personal work flow?br
