I’ve been meaning to ask everyone this; is Sylenth REALLY that sick of a plug-in?? I see it in almost every tutorial here on Sonic and have been reading a lot of different producers that use it as well. Is it really that monster?? Like is it a “must-have”??

We use it because it is relatively easy to use and teach with.

There are lots of other plugins about - alchemy for example is pretty powerful for the price !

from what i’ve seen and read it does seem like a lot of pro’s use sylenth 1

I found it perfect for a learning tool - though to be perfectly honest I have not touched it for about 6 months - but I think that’s more of a reflection on what I produce than anything else

So I would recommend it

I think Sylenth is just a good alrounder, and an excellent work-horse synth.

Once you’ve spent time with it you might find yourself leaning more towards slughtly more specialised synths like Massive, Nexus or Alchemy etc

Alchemy has lots of power, but isn’t as ‘pick up and go’ as sylenth, bit more to learn again.

I have many synths and I still fire up Sylenth first when I am wanting a quick solid sound to generate some ideas with.
