everytime i try to open up the Mark Knight tutorial in Live i get this error “failed to load Vst “Sylenth1.” The VST plug-in could not be located. Please check your File/Folder Preferences.”
I’m assuming that you own sylenth? if so try opening up a sylenth in the project and then load the midi and patch and see if that works. Sometimes you need to run that scan that it’s asking you to do to find stuff. It’s probably because the tutor has stuff in different folders then you do as far as VST’s. So the project is looking for a folder on your computer that doesn’t exist. So when you scan, it should find the stuff.

ok maybe its me cuz in the fidget tutorial im missing ABL2 file. i dk what the hell is my live’s problem is wtf.
do you own both of the plug-ins ??? sylenth and ABL
The only reason’s i could think of that would stop it from working are
- You don’t have the plug-ins installed on your machine
- You have the plug-ins installed in a different directory to how SA made the tutorial
- The plug-ins you are using are older than the one’s used in the tutorial, if you are using version 1.1 and SA used 2.1 then it would not pick up the plug-in as the project is looking for the 2.1 version.
HMM, i see im using 8.0.5 but i know SA i believe used 8. and nothing. but ive typed in AB2 and Sylenth and its not even on my mac hd.
*note i have live 8 suite edition.
