Syncopated side-chain effect in Maschine with LFOTool

Everyone using Maschine knows that one of its major drawbacks is its lack of sidechain compression. With the introduction of VST hosting in 1.6, LFOTool has gone some way to redress that. The problem with this workaround, however, was always that the default sidechain envelope in LFOTool is a simple 4/4 rhythm. This video I did last night shows a way to use LFOTool to simulate syncopated sidechaining (try saying that when you’re drunk). I know there are already VST Plugins that offer sidechaining in Maschine (like the Vengeance multiband compressor and Reaktor), but the nice thing about LFOTool is that it is cheap (around £20) and produced by an outstanding developer…

Its the first video I’ve done so I’m sorry if I am confusing or missed a point anywhere. If I have let me know and I’ll try to explain what I meant.

Hope this is useful to everyone. Enjoy!

Is there no end too the tricks of the LFO Tool

Interesting vid - though NI Maschine won’t be adopted by me till end of July
