im messing around with some tech house and i know some people are using massive amounts of swing…my question is what do i swing? just the hats or the snares to…the kicks the percussion???br

personally i would place the groove onto the entire clip and then if needs be go in and tweak anything i dont like.br

you could start of by just swinging something that is hitting on a 1/16th note such as a hi hat

Further to this - you can be swinging your bass pattern too. you can really swing anything
You can make Swinging even your lifestyle
A tip I learnt from watching one of Sebastian Legers tutorials is if you’re using ableton you can activate the delay option (the ‘D’ icon to the right of the master fader in session view) this enables the delay options under each fader if in session view or to the right if in arrangement view. Here you can delay or bring forward your programmed percussion or whatever providing great swing. I tend to do this more that actually using abletons swing pool.
