Tech Tips 14

Bryan, I’ve just finished watching the Tech Tips 14 video and cant for the life of me work out how to set the key control so that when you press 0 it turns the device on and off?br
br
Every time I try and set them it just does it for the individual instrument/channel that I have selected at the time, rather than a default on/off switch. So if I’ve highlighted ANA for example, it will still turn off EQ8 when I press 0. :crazy:br
br
Help! :hehe:

sounds like a bug?br

if you click on ANA and hit zero. it should turn ANA off. - unless your eq8 etc. and ANA are maybe in a group?

Hi Bryan, I’ve taken a screenshot of how its mapped at the moment and when I press 0 regardless of what VST, Effect or Instrument I have selected it will always ONLY toggle the EQ8 on and off.

Ive tried mapping other devices and pressing 0 on them, but now when I press 0 it just turns ANA and EQ8 off at the same time even though other instruments are currently selected…

br
you’re not meant to map anything.br
br
its because you’ve mapped 0 to those instruments - its always going to turn them off then if you have them mapped.br
br
turn all the maps off, then just use 0 to turn individual instruments on and offbr
br

Ahhh see I thought you had to set up the 0 button as a mapped key to power things off. I didnt realise that it was already a default setting within Ableton! lol br
br
I’ll go and hang my head in shame now… :stuck_out_tongue:
