Hey Guys, at this Moment im working on recreating the Tech Tips 7 - very usefull Stuff in here! I just stuck a tiny bit on #78: Denis Kurtel The L Word Bass.
All is fine, I got the Sound. But is it possible to get the Midi from the Vid?
Would be much easier to work on it with the Midi.
Thank you!
Here you go! This should do the trick…

Fair play to ya Jamie
Hah!
That’s what a crap-load of college degrees in music gets you…a quick ear!
Thank you!
By the Way, any Idea how to learn that?
Should I learn how to play the Piano or just learn Notes?
Problem is: Even if I had a cool Idea for a good Melody, I wouldn’t be able to get it into my DAW :X That’s why I only have many Remix Releases…
Yes, piano helps for sure. One of the best ways to ear train is to just play a tune in your DAW, set up a basic synth, and try your best to match the melody, rhythm and as you get better, harmonies as it goes along.
Of course, a theory course and some knowledge about intervals and the typical motion one might expect between them is always helpful as well.

Doesnt always work… But slowing the tempo right down helps me.
That… and using Voxengo Span or the Spectrum in Ableton. You can see the ballpark where the notes are hitting if you are not 100%
Doesnt always work… Depends on how cluttered the music is / type of sound itself. Ears are probably an added bonus here! :hehe:
Slowing it down is cool, cos you can practice the “feel” of the playing.
Thanks for the Tips, I’ll try that out.
My Luck that you can find like all Midi’s in the World for free these Days
