This week Protoculture and Haterade are back with a set of Tech Tips focussing on the all-important kick.
If you’re producing electronic music, the kick can make or break a track, so it’s super important to get it right.
Here we look at what ‘makes’ a good kick and the importance of choosing the right one depending on your genre before diving into different methods and the tools that can help improve your kick and get it to cut through the mix and hit harder.
Check it out!
I thought clipping was to be avoided in general, didn’t know it was a resource, also, does it rise the overall volume of the track getting it to red in the master volume or is this avoided with ducking? Cause clipping occurs when sound gets over 1 dB, or am I getting it wrong? Sorry, I’m a little confused, what is the benefit of clipping?
Very cool tips and tricks. Thanks a lot for sharing.
