I don’t have ReCycle and I’d like to create slices from a handful of 1 bar loops.

Is there any way to do this without ReCycle?

I know how to “slice to midi” in Ableton, but that doesn’t really create files for me to organize in my Finder.

This can be done, but it ain’t pretty.

You slice to midi, then you go into each of the slices, right click the sample in Simpler and crop sample. Now when you go into the project folder in

Samples\Processed\Crop

you will see Slice 1.wav, Slice 2.wav etc.

Now you can use these samples like in the vid.

Damn, yeah, that ain’t pretty.

I ended up just joining all the 1bar loops in arrangement mode, then slicing that.

That ended up giving me all the slices i needed in one single drum rack.

Not much better, but it worked.
