Templates

I’m noticing these more and more recently. Not really sure what to make of them. Obviously they’re useful for learning how other people produce, but no wonder all the tunes out there are getting more and more generic when anybody can just drag and drop into a pre made template.br

Have anybody used them before?

Do you mean like throwing in some markers on ableton or like dragging in someone else’s tune??br

I do agree though theres so many songs that sound the same it really drives me mad…I can understand someone wanting to make similar sounds that have peaked their interest but I think half of the fun is finding your own way! People who beat themselves up because they can’t get a pad/lead/bass that sounds like their favorite artist haven’t even thought about maybe thats YOUR sound?! I’ve literally just been trying to make my stuff sound as weird as possible through more and more processing just throwing on random plugins and honestly its been way more fun and I think the productions are a lot better.

I mean you can buy a finished project in Logic or Ableton in the style you want, so you can reuse, effects, patches, automation, EQ’ing, mastering, and just drop your own chords and melody on, and hey presto you’ve got a tune of decent quality.br

Some of them are released tracks where the producer just fancies a few more quid out of it.
