We’re moving after two more semesters of college. We do not care where in the world. We’re are just looking for a place where electro is accepted and there are many places to play. We like the idea of london, but are open to anything.
Electro is very popular, I would say you would be fine in most places in the world (most places in europe anyway)!
London indeed (like most places in the uk) has a big electro scene but it isnt cheap to live, especially if your coming from across the pond. If thats ok with you then welcome aboard
also depends what style of electro, berlin is great for straight up electro that has been around for over a decade. electro house is really big in most areas of the uk such as london, liverpool, manchester and i would say its the most commonly heard form of dance music played in clubs across the country and in scotland, wales and ireland
We will have finance degrees, so hopefully we might can get a decent job. We thought about california, but there are not enough places to play.
In london all of the other countries are near.
Also, what about amsterdam? How are they for electro. We would love to be able to smoke with out being arrested.
Where do you live now?

As said almost anywhere in europe will have a big electro scene but as mentioned by nik muzka, electro styles differ and what you consider to be electro may be different in other places. Electro and electro-house are miles apart in my book
Amsterdam is very much into trance, amongst other things
Id also suggest sourcing a job before coming to the UK as the recession is still on-going and would be a bad idea to come across with no work already lined-up. I think if you could get accommodation/work sorted in London you would not be disappointed.
if you live in america miami seems to have an ok electro house scene and new york seems to have a good electro/techno/electroclash scene with groups like justice and peaches being popular. personally i think new york has the healthiest and most interesting music scene in the states as its such a melting pot of styles and cultures and is creating fresher dance music than the rest of the US.
I recently moved from Australia - where there is a healthy electro house scene, to move to New York - where the electro house scene is very weak in comparison.
I personally would advise against New York to move to, as a city having a healthy electro scene.
