The Black Sheep Discussion

I do get the points above about programmes like cubase, but I think in that kind of situation your best off taking your money elsewhere. Its their fault for not providing a demo. I personally still wouldn’t download cracked software though. If companies can’t get their sales act together why buy from them in the first place?

i dont and would not use cracked software as i said in my previous post but i think its a valid point thats been made software makers should offer at least two weeks full trail to help cut down on theft of there product lets be honest probably 70 or 80% of there customers are not mr big name producer and cant afford to buy software in the dark and by offering a free trail the illegal downloading would be cut down lets face it it will never stop but it could be reduced imo…

It’s good to see we can have an adult discussion about a very serious and regular subject that happens on a day to day basis and not get hushed quicker than a national of north Korea.[/quote]

i thought as long as no one is saying for instance “go to this site to get ableton free” and posting links, promoting sites or inciting people to go illegaly download its ok to discuss???

to be fair so long as links are not involved and the subject is discussed in a adult way SA wouldn’t really worry about it to much.

i would say that with many of the licensed software options there are freeware alternatives that are just as good and in some cases better.
