Just sharing some of my work! 
Decent concept, but first thing I would fix would be the drums. They need some swing to them. They are too rigid. Also the rhtym of the drums against the lead line are fighting against each other. I would start there first. Keep at it though.
Have to agree on the staticness of the beat. A bit of swing would probably do a lot for the feel of the track
