Hi Everyone! :Dbr
br
I have just purchased the PSP Micro Warmer, The PSP Vintage Warmer and PSP Vintage Warmer2.br
br
I already feel like i have a decent understanding of what they do, and how to use them. br
br
But I thought i would hear what you guys have to say as well. If you have any good tips and tricks. br
How do you use them? Do you use them on anything and everything, or do you use it scarcely? Where in the signal chain do you place it, and which plugin do you place? Are there any pitfalls to be aware of? br
Anything you’ve observed. Any good tips and tricks on the usage of the Vintage warmer plugin would be greatly appreciated!
Like that plug in as well.br
Often use it for a quick mastering to try out my own tracks and send out to DJ friends.br
br
Besides that, I tend to use it on anything electric piano-ish as well :Dbr

Some nice explaining vid tutorials (part 1 2) can be found here:br

I’m sure the Vintage Warmer has some presets that you should look at, to get a feel for the different types of ways it can be used.br
br
For example, there’s presets for processing drums, compared to ones for vocals i believe, where the settings on the plug-in are radically different and therefore produce radically different results.br
br
Because the plug-in can do a few things at once i.e. compression, limiting, overdrive, saturation etc, it can be used in quite different ways depending on the various combination of settings of the various knobs and switches.br
br
So i would have a quick look at the presets to get a better feel for different general settings for various types of sounds you can run though the unit.
The unusual thing about VW that you need to get your head around is the Speed setting. This refers to tape speed, so 100% is a fast tape = high quality, lower is slower tape speednbsp;= reduced quality.PBut reduced quality is what you want if you are looking for warmth, which is the whole point of VW./PPPull down the Speed, push up the knee and add some drive (probably pull down the output and/or the mix)./PPAlso the ceiling control makes no sense at all, I leave it well alone.
