The rule of Sonic Academy:
After 5 pages your thread will no longer make ANY sense.
I still dont know what all these black ‘HTSL Minimal,Techno, and Tech House’ signature/avatars are all about.
I assume something from the sprawling 45+ page long thread in the Tutorials forum, but I am too scared to look.
LOL
You’re lucky if you get anywhere near 5 pages of sense Mate!!
Actually the 50 Pages of the HTSL Thread all make sense - Its one Thread where there’s probably been no messing.
Just loads of new Min / Tech releases from 2010. Some pretty awesome music if you like it (of course).
And the Avatars? Its just a show of support & enthusiasm for the Thread - The Music - and a HTSL Update.
Theres a lot of love there! :)
End of Party Political Broadcast for the HTSL Minimal / Techno / Tech House Alliance.
bobby lupo (14/09/2010)
a ferrari?its more like one of those vw bugs with a porche body kit.i promise to drop it now,if anyone is happy with whatever they buy and use thats all that really matters.just dont make whats basically the same thing as a upper midrange hp or other brand pc to be something much more than it is just because it comes with osx installed.
you read to much into what i said.
a ferrai is not the fastest car in the world and its probably not the flashest to look at but its design is nice to look at its up there with the fastest cars and for a super car they are very reliable.
Macs are not the fastest but they are fast, they look good and they perform well and are also very reliable.
Does everyone realize that Microsoft charges over $200 for their Windows 7? Now that is some complete GARBAGE!
The bottom line is a Mac works for me. I am by no means a computer tech. I’m a musician. I dont want to worry about drivers. I want things to just work. I have had poor experiences with just about every PC I have ever used to make music on. If you got some cash, get a dope system and NEVER EVER EVER go on the internet with it. Dont install anything on it but your DAW and software and stuff. Then, you wont have to worry about anything.
It surprises me that so many of you are for making Hackintoshes especially you bobby

huh? where the h*ll are you shopping from?
you can get win 7 64 bit ultimate version for 119.99
Thats the most expensive version of win 7. It really just depends on the vendor.
win 7 random vendor
just like with OSX leopard. you can find OEM versions of software pretty cheap…
but if you look at the list on amazon for OSX leopard 10.5.6… it also ranges pretty dramatically. the price can go up to $300. or down to $150.
OSX - amazon
its all about the vendor man.

i was actually referring to the EULA of osx stating that i is illegal to install osx on anything other that a apple product. however i’ve been informed that its been recently over turned in court and you are now free to do a vanilla install of osx on any machine.

linkage? i’d love to buy a copy right now for that cheap. its gotta be complete full version.
i dont want an upgrade version.
also most of the time if you buy a configured PC it has win 7 already loaded as well

I can confirm that it works.
sweeet. def gunna grab 1 more of those soon then!
The way the upgrade works - or at least with the batch that I got - was that you go a full install.
The glitch with the Upgrade disk was that it let you do a Repair / Clean install.
Worth checking out if you can get Snow Leopard for 25. What do you lose if they’ve closed that avenue since?

the upgrade version is the same with osx i backed up the image of snow leopard(upgrade) and noticed it was the same size leopard (full) so i decided to take a risk and delete and install for the upgrade disk and it works as a full installer i found out later that apple had forgot to put set up checks on the dvd so it doesn’t check for previous versions of osx.
