Those Looking for Boards of Canada Sound

Hey all, I came across this the other day.  For those who have already seen this, sorry.  For those who haven’t, you might want to check this out if you’re looking for that Lo-Fi Tape Warble Boards of Canada sound and don’t want to mess with tape decks, etc.  I know Phil did a good demo with Sylenth a while back to help get that BOC organ sound, but this might help take it one more step further.

It’s a pricey pedal, but it might help.  ENJOY!

ALSO, if anyone has a review on this pedal, I’d love to hear about it as I’m thinking of picking one up.

Thanks for the share always interested in the weird and wonderful

Nice!

No problemo.  I’m always curious as to how to get certain sounds.  I can almost guarantee that this is NOT how BOC gets their warped record/lofi sound to their tracks, but it’s kind of a cool way to rip it off.

I figured those who are into BOC like I am would be looking for ways to mimic this sound as it is FLIPPING awesome.

Lovely little thing… How much is it?

Is it a Kit - or are they for sale. Couldnt see a link on the site

Fair play to him, great idea.

It’s a pedal that you can buy from Big City Music.  Haven’t seen other vendors.  It’s about $365 I think which is pretty pricey.  But if you want that sound, I guess it’s worth it.

Only thing I’m curious about, is I THINK you might only be able to get that sound during playback of the loop which kinda sux.  I would love to run a 5 minute synth or guitar through there without any sort of “loop” function.  In other words, just let me get that sound while playing through it.  I don’t need the loop function.

I’ll have to see though.

ILY

$365 - as you say in the USA I’ll take a rain check :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah I think I’ll stick to not having one

HAHAHAHA yeah, I agree

However, I just wanted to give the BOC freaks the option. I’m sure this effect can be achieved multiple ways, but this seemed like a simple box to do it quickly.
