just been speaking to my local music store and they recomended theses http://www.reddogmusic.co.uk/Accessories/Headphones/Studio-Headphones/Beyerdynamic-DT100-400-Ohm---Grey.html due to quality and due to the 400 Ohm they have. One big thing for me is vol level on the head phones for when I want to produce on my laptop using the internal soundcard and they say this will solve the vol issue with this and are good allrounders.
I thoguht I was looking at paying like £200 or something but they say no need, this is what I want…
What do you say??
I say what everyone always says and it is annoying but true. Try before you buy
ha if I could take them home and try in here in the studio, on a plan, in a club etc etc before I buy then I would but in this case I’ll just go into the shop n try!
But more to the point does anyone have them and what do the think, even more so if you have used other studio headphones as well as theses. How do they pair up etc etc?
hey buddy, try out the Sennheiser HD 280 Pros. I have them and they are absolutely amazing! Plus, when the earpads wear out, you can replace them.

im also deciding too - between a few i checked out from bose, senn, or akg.
I have the dt100s I flick between these, my monitors and my old pioneer 5000 headphones and there all really different from each other
I’ve heard excellent things about akg 240s. I hoping Santa is going to give me some of these for Christmas
The dt150s are probably a better option than the dt100s as they are supposed to have better bass. The dt100s are pretty weak imo
The Senheisser HD-25 are THE ****, get those ASAP.

u pick them up for 65 bucks new! really… here me thinkin I’ll need to splash out £200 buck (313.52 U.S. dollars) for a decent pair - rethink!
I have a pair of DT100s, payed £120 for them off HTFR. when you put them on you have to push them in to create a sort of vacuum in the cups which makes your ears pop and is quite annoying. If you dont do this the sound from them is sh!t. But when they are on right the sound is really clear and accurate and matches the monitors exactly. The sound isolation is also really good. Not the most comfortable or best looking EPs either, was a bit let down with this for the 120 squid payed to be honest.

to be fair i dont think there that great either considering they are supposed to be industry standard headphones for the last 30 odd years
