MY question is : If you have a traktor certified mixer does that mean you do not need to have an audio 10 or audio 8 audio interface because its built into the mixer? meaning I just need to buy the software, and time code vinyl if I already have the traktor mixer and I will be good to go?
I don’t already own traktor keep in mind
If you want to use Traktor then you are good to go. If you want to use the time code vinyl (or CDs) you need to buy the Traktor scratch certified upgrade, which is expensive.
im sorry i should have made it clear that i don’t have traktor already. So I can just buy the traktor scratch pro 2 software and the time code vinyl and I will be good to go if I have a traktor certified mixer?
The Ant is the traktor guru round here he should clear this up cuz I’m not 100% sure but if a mixer is Traktor certified I don’t think that means it definitely has a built in sound card, you may still need one depending on the mixer…
What mixer us it???
Lol I was just thinking more about this, I was wrong if it’s certified you can mix away internally and use your line out/headphone jack as your master out but from experience I can tell you the sound quality is really really poor.

Ok, if you have a certified mixer you do not need an Audio 8 or 10 or any other audio interface. But you can’t just buy Traktor and time code vinyl as the version of Traktor you can buy doesnt work with the time code vinyl.
You have to buy a product called Traktor scratch certified upgrade which comes with the right version and the vinyl. Look here
