Under the ‘select type’ choose what sort of vst. your after, or what it’s mainly used for sound-wise ie. piano, synth, bass, distortion and it should generate a new list to choose from.
I think you can find something for everything here depending what your after.
As you said trance I caught this one but I can’t recommend as I haven’t tried it yet.

synth1 is regarded as a very good free vst synth
I think spending money on quality samples is a must and is one of the best tools you can get for both production and inspiration.
